SQL Query
With SQL Query option, you can create your own query to generate the required report. You can save queries with a name and can execute them whenever required and that too with a different input parameter also. For example, you have created a Query in which you want to view all the voucher numbers and their amount belonging to a certain party within the specified date. For this you can create and save a query with party name and date as input parameters. Now, whenever you execute this query, BUSY will ask you to input party name and date range for which you want to view the report. Thus, you can use the same query to generate report for different parties and dates.
You can also create queries which can be used in Document Designing. Basically, you can design queries to get the result which cannot be provided through a data field in Document Designing. For this, you have to first select the type for which you are creating a query and then create query under it. For example, you are creating a query to get the Cost Centre name used in the Sales voucher, for this you can select the Vch Header (Accounting / Inventory) option and create a query under it. You can then use that query while configuring a format for Header section of an accounting / inventory voucher.
SQL Query is a very powerful feature as customised queries can be created and executed according to the individuals need.
Keywords that can disturb the database such as Delete, Update and so on are not allowed to be used in the query.
In the SQL Query Executor window, there are various data fields and buttons. The data fields and buttons are:
