Charlamagne Says Rich Homie Quan Will Last Longer than Young Thug (Flashback)

In this flashback from 2015, Charlamagne discussed Young Thug and his recently released "Barter 6" project. The radio host didn't express the same level of excitement in the artist as most rap fans did during Young Thug's rise to superstardom. In particular, Charlamagne took issue with Young Thug's attempt to draw comparisons between himself and Lil Wayne. After discouraging Young Thug from trying to be like Lil Wayne, he compared the Atlanta rapper to Rich Gang partner Rich Homie Quan. Charlamagne stated he liked Rich Homie Quan more and felt he would last longer than Young Thug. In a 2021 Breakfast Club interview with Young Thug, Charlamagne admitted he was wrong.
